" The profession of a yacht designer isn’t limited to the conception of cruising or racing boats. The designer’s main quality is to be able to meet the needs and specifications of people "using" the sea, whoever these users may be. This is actually what makes this profession so rich and so attractive. This aspect of our activity is easy to understand when seeing the importance of the specifications themselves, whether they’ve been drawn up by cruising fanatics, by fishermen or by famous offshore racing sailors : they all want the boat that will meet as precisely as possible their deepest wishes: this is a delicate service to offer to sea people. " Eric Henseval

In 1998, when entering "Mer et Design"- Subrero, based in Sophia-Antipolis, near Nice and Antibes, Eric Henseval took part in the creation of a "Paris excursion boat", a 60 ton steel canal boat designed for the discovery of the capital.

He then took on the conception of an 8m skiff for the tuna boat "Cap-Horizon", seiner in the Mediterranean..
