Cruising catamarans

Still within the famous yacht design firm VAN-PETEGHEM-LAURIOT-PREVOST (MVP-VLP), Eric Henseval was responsible for the modifications applied to Highest Honour III, luxury cruising catamaran extended to 27m (88 ft). The roof, mast, sail plan and cockpit were transformed. A hard and complex long distance work between the office in Paris and the remote island of Trinidad (where the shipyards are established) to ensure these transformations are working properly.

Concerning passenger boats, he was entrusted with the weight and centre of gravity summary, stability, lines and structure of the hulls ( which he organised and prepared for digital cut out) of Freebird-one, an unusual 26 m unit made of aluminium. Today, Freebird-one visits marine mammals every day in the Canary Islands.

Concerning great production, he worked on the creation of the structure of the Lagoon 440, new catamaran by BENETEAU,to meet the requirements of the Bureau Véritas organisation (French equivalent to the Lloyds).

Eric continued working closely with MVP-VLP with many interventions on the plans of the brand new futuristic Lago 92, launched in New Zealand.
